Last year, Lorraine Bracey lost her husband, Lee, to cancer. The Wood-Ridge resident and active member of the Kip Center in Rutherford said he was in severe pain with the disease for two years, having to take harsh pain killers such as Percocet. What hurt Bracey the most was watching his appetite disappear. He lost weight and many times when he ate, it came right back up. She said marijuana may have helped bolster his appetite, ease his stomach and quell his pain.
