Each year NCADD—NJ adopts a policy agenda, which reflects both the priorities of the organization and the political and economic climate of New Jersey. NCADD—NJ’s policy agenda is developed to preserve and advance the mission of the organization by pursuing initiatives that underscore the fact that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable and preventable illnesses. The agency will work to expand drug court eligibility, increase Medicaid rates for outpatient treatment for addiction and shift resources to promote recovery through a chronic care model.
