The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)-New Jersey promotes the prevention and treatment of, and recovery from, alcoholism and drug addiction through advocacy and education. We support the recovery of alcoholics, drug addicted individuals and their families and work to reduce the stigma surrounding the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. The agency formulates public policy initiatives and advocates for legislation and regulations that are in keeping with a public health approach to the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction. IT Technician/Coordinator

Full time, IT position is available in Robbinsville. This position will provide troubleshooting and repair of problems related to the Internet, computers, printers and fax machines; coordination of purchasing and tracking of printers, computers, parts, fax machines and software; other tracking and inventory; perform installation and tracking of network configurations; maintenance of agency vehicles at times. Must be willing to travel thorughout the State of NJ with the use of an agency van. Must be able to consistently lift computers, printers and other heavy office equipment. Must be  team player and must be flexible. This is a hands on position. Must be able to walk, sit and/or stand thoughout the work day. Must be able to consistently life 20 pounds or more from a floor or table position to chest high using proper lifting technique. Must be able to repetitviely use arms, hands and fingers in the manipulation of parts. Requires an Associate's degree in IT field or related and relevant work experience. Work experience may be substituted for degree.

Assistant Care Coordinator-Outreach Specialist

Duties include processing referrals, arranging assessment schedules, data entry, providing outreach and support to clients, coordinating services and performing administrative tasks.  Must possess clerical and computer/software skills. Must have the ability to manage complex schedules and have a thorough understanding and commitment to working with diverse clients including individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. Must hold a Bachelors degree or a minmium of two years of direct work experience in the field of addicitons and /or mental health. This position is located in Clifton, NJ. EOE M/F/D/V

Mental Health & Substance Abuse Care Coordinators

Due to recent expansion clinical positions are available in Camden, Ocean, Monmouth, Cumberland, Gloucester/Salem and Middlex/Mercer Counties. The Care Coordinator provides assessments, patient placement, case management and cross systems coordination for WFNJ recipients whose substance abuse or mental health disorders pose a barrier to participation in work activities.  Requires a Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field. LPC/LCSW required or documented evidence that this license will be obtained within six months. LCADC strongly preferred. At least two years of experience working with this population is required.  Candidates must have extensive applied knowledge of the DSM-IV-TR and the ASAM-PPC-2R.  EOE M/F/D/V

Community Organizing/Advocacy/Outreach | We are looking for an intern/volunteer interested in policy and advocacy to work on a voter registration initiative. We do a tremendous amount of work in policy and advocacy for prevention, treatment and recovery from addiction. We are looking to build up our constituency and strengthen our community organizing and outreach efforts. Start and end dates are flexible, but the position can begin immediately. The intern/volunteer must make a commitment of at least 3–4 months.
